Over the last 30 years consumer electronics have grown in leap & bounds. Electronics like PDAs, Laptop computers, Cell Phones, iBooks have exploded on the business level as well as on the personal level. 9 out of 10 people possess a consumer electronics brand of some kind. All though in the vast world of consumer electronics there are new names popping up all the time, Apple has been around for quite some time and consumers consider them one of the top brands in consumer electronics. They have taken their products to the top of the list and continue to stay there. When Apple launched their iProducts they opened a whole new world in consumer eletronics. iProducts have taken the World by storm. The Apple revolution started over 30 years ago with two men named Steve. They sold off their possessions to launch a company that would soon be on the tip of everybody's tongue. With the Apple i, Steve and Steve's company was off the ground and running. 22 years after that incredible launch, the iMac was released.
With the release of the iMac, the Steve's return to Apples all-in-one basics. No floppy, no weird plugs, no nothin. Just some simple lines, some USB ports, and a low price (for an Apple, anyway). Most consumer's were happy to pay the price to have this incredible device. This lifted them out of their financial funk and put them back on their way to shareholder happiness, but not without first starting a inescapable iTrend iCliché that permeates marketing naming conventions even today.
After another innovative 3 years came the iPod. This incredible device helps consumer's store, play and experience tunes their way. Not including the Walkman, you'll be hard pressed to find a consumer electronics brand that's had such an impact on consumers' lives, media, and the way they use and understand content. With over 10 billion songs sold on iTunes Music Store for playback on over 250 million iPods it's pretty easy to see why iPod is the definitive device for an entire generation.
Funny thing though, in a interview with Steve Jobs and he said the little "i" stood for idiot. Very funny. His idiot machines are pretty smart don't you think?
Amazingly iProducts of all kinds have captured the imaginations of gadget lovers the world over, they set the tone for new consumer electronics. Apple continues to add cutting edge electronics to it's line up. So before choosing your personal electronic devices you should really check out iProducts for yourself.
