I am sure you have come across advertisements on the internet offering free iPads, iPhones, iPods, iMacs and many other 'supposedly' free gifts. I have and I kept wondering "is it a scam?" Well, I found out and here it is: The truth about free iPads.
What the sites ask you to do.
You are asked to sign up for a website, complete a free offer and get your friends to do the same. Sounds simple doesn't it? Well it is and it isn't.
There is not any doubt that some of the sites can be trusted, you can tell which ones by who they are affiliated with, you can be sure that massive companies such as LoveFilm would not associate themselves with web sites running a scam. But not all of the offers are free and if you already have an account with the offer site, you can't sign up again.
Get your friends to do the same? The fact is that you will not get an iPad by doing everything on the list then getting just one of your friends to do the same. Sure you can get a small gift from getting 2 people to do it, but to get a free iPad you are expected to get between 22-29 people to follow those initial steps and you can't just sign up a load of times yourself. If you sign up more than once your account will be suspended.
So is it actually free?
What it really costs is your time and effort, there are a number of options to get it all done for free, but you will be required to spend a fair amount of your time getting people to sing up if you want some of the bigger gifts.
Find out how to get a free iPad. Just follow the instructions on this site - imac4free.webs.com
